Having your photo taken is a huge act of bravery. I love that the byproduct of personal brand photography is seeing more people especially women take up space and move into a deeper act of self acceptance. It’s the most favourite part of my job even though it’s under the influence of showing up for your business.

Meg was really anxious about having her photo taken. Many of my clients feel that way, the fear of not meeting societies expectations when you take up space is a very real feeling. So I wanted to make the experience as positive as possible for Meg and all of my clients.

Meg is a brand consultant who has worked with over 650 brands to help them bring their businesses to life. With a degree in marketing and advertising and many other qualifications plus the experience of building her own business Meg is a true talent in the field of branding.

So I was delighted that she chose me to help with her own brand imagery. The main goal was strong imagery for her website and marketing. She wanted to really show up so her clients could connect with her and that’s the whole point of brand photography. It’s a powerful touch point for connection with your potential clients.

And Meg knows that more than most so she had very clear ideas around how she wanted to show up. We planned out some business lifestyle scenarios so we could tell a visual story of how she works and then also a big focus on strong portraiture. We started in Soho at an apartment Meg had found before hitting the streets of West London and of course there was cocktails.

I loved our initial shoot and what we created together and I also love that Meg recently came back for a mini session for some up to date portraits and I could tell how much her confidence had grown in front of the camera, something that always brings me a massive amount of joy.
